Today, Grimes released her new video for "Kill V. Maim", from her 4th album 'Art Angels' (4AD). It was directed by Claire and Mac Boucher. The live-action video was shot in Toronto.
Grimes will perform at Coachella and will open for Florence & The Machine in the U.S. this spring. She is kicking off her AC!D Reign European headline tour this spring. Beginning in Berlin and running through major venues in Oslo, Stockholm, Paris and more, the tour will culminate in seven dates throughout the UK, including a landmark London date at Brixton's o2 Academy.
'Art Angels' had prime placement on basically every 2015 End of Year list, with #1 spots from NME, Crack, Stereogum and others. The Observer called the album 'strikingly original, a kaleidoscopically minded Grimes-authored record', NME said, 'Not just a pop star, but perhaps the coolest musician on the planet' and Uncut called it 'iconoclastic set'. The Telegraph titled it 'a fearless and fascinating record'.
iTunes named 'Art Angels' the #1 Indie Album of 2015 and it finished out the year at #1 most added on CMJ Radio. In 2015 alone, Grimes graced the covers of Dazed, NME, Guardian Guide, The FADER, Nylon, Flare and more.
